DT6 Auto Appraisals was born out of necessity. Our group has always been strongly against the taxation system ICBC uses for private vehicle sales. The policy ICBC uses disincentives private sales, pushing business to dealers who charge high prices and expensive fees.

Early 2022, DT6 founder worked with provincial government to halt the new tax calculation method for vehicles by ICBC. Specifically noting it will impact BC residents that can afford it least. DT6 also identified the negative environmental impacts the new tax has, reducing reparability of vehicles and incentivizing disposal. BC's Minister of Finance chose not to incorporate any of our recommendations.
